Cheaha Resort State Park offers several hiking-only trails.

Near the Bald Rock Group Lodge is the ADA Bald Rock Boardwalk Trail. One-quarter-mile in length, this interpretive trail terminates in a scenic overlook from where views stretch halfway to Birmingham.

Pulpit Rock Trail. A moderate hike, Pulpit Rock is a quartzite rock facing where many guests come to repel or just take in the view.

Rock Garden and Lake Trail, the most difficult trail in the park. The lake trail is responsible for more than a 1,000-foot elevation change in the first 1/2 mile of the trail.

Centrally located in the Talladega National Forest, Cheaha Resort State Park is ideal for access to the Kentuck ORV trail, an ATV trail built and maintained by the National Forest Service. The Park is home to the Cheaha Trailhead of the Pinhoti Trail, a 107-mile trail eventually connecting into the National Parks Service, Appalachian Trail, accessing trails like the Odum Scout Trail or the Chinnabee Silent Trail where there are some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the area.

*** The Talladega National Forest charges day use fees in some of its recreation areas.  These fees are seperate from any day use fee charged at Cheaha Resort State Park.

*** All National Forest Trails are subject to Rules and Regulations dictated by the National Forest Service.
